Platemate was designed specifically for arthritic people whilst still being something that every one can use, it was suggested to me by a teacher that it would be great for under 9's. The plate is made from bone china and is fully stackable. The raised edge provides two features. It gives a handle to hold as grip is limited in an arthritic hand. It provides a scoop with a flat edge for the use of a fork and a varying curve to fit most spoons making it easy to get your peas (and any other food) on the cutlery.
